ACTION ALERT: Special Election in Louisiana on May 3

There's an important Special Election in Louisiana on May 3 and we need to help ensure a solid Republican beats a liberal, tax-and-spend Democrat.
Republican Woody Jenkins is running a tight race for the U.S. House in Louisiana's sixth Congressional district and he needs our support to win.
Why Woody?
Woody is a proven vote-getter, wrapping up the GOP nomination on April 5 with a resounding 62 percent of the vote. Further, he's an ardent supporter of Slatecard, using Slatecard to process his online donations.
This race is targeted by the national Democrats, and they'll do whatever they can to add another liberal Democrat to their majority in Congress.
Our Woody now faces off against liberal Democrat Don Cazayoux in the May 3rd Special Election.
And boy do I mean liberal. For starters, as
a state Representative, Cazayoux voted to raise taxes by $211 million. The last thing we need is to let Cazayoux get a hold of the purse strings in Washington.
While the Democrat is a typical tax-and-spender, Woody is a true limited-government conservative, with a record to prove it:
- As
a former state Representative, Woody authored over $3 billion in tax cuts.
- Woody also established a right to property in
Louisiana for the first time by amending the Constitution. The amendment
limits the power of the state government to take property and requires fully
compensating owners for their full loss.
- As evidence
of his success in the legislature, Woody Jenkins was named "Legislator of the Year" by the National Taxpayers Union in 1977.
- He was also named “Outstanding State Legislator in
America” by the Eagle Forum.
- Woody has been endorsed by the Club for Growth, House Conservatives Fund, National Rifle Association, and the Family Research Council among others.
