About Me

Ron Lewis has represented Kentucky’s second congressional district since May 1994.

In the House of Representatives, Lewis is a member of the prestigious Ways and Means Committee, working on issues such as taxes, trade, Social Security, Medicare and welfare. In this capacity, he has effectively worked on numerous family friendly tax provisions and important pro-business, energy, and agricultural incentives.

Congressman Lewis advocates a quality national defense and has worked in Congress to enhance Fort Knox’s position as a premier military instillation. He was also a key contributor to tobacco buyout legislation signed into law by President Bush in November 2004.

Born and raised in Greenup County, Lewis and his wife Kayi reside in Cecilia with their two children.
