About Me
Dean Scontras is a third generation Maine native born and raised in
Kittery, Maine. Dean's father, Pete Scontras, served in the United
States Navy during the Korean War and completed his career as the lead
engineer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
A star athlete at Traipe Academy, Dean earned a partial scholarship to
play football at the University of Maine, graduating in 1991 with a
degree in Political Science and Public Management.
Dean went on from the University of Maine to pursue an exciting career
in information technology, allowing him to work for a number of
successful start-up companies across America. He also continued his
education in Public Policy at Georgetown University.
Dean is the proud grandson of Greek immigrants who came to America
legally in the early 1900's. He is the product of a strong family,
and of traditional conservative values. Dean resides in Eliot, Maine
with his wife Dawn and their two children, Jack and Zoe.
