In addition to representing the 27th largest congressional district, Cathy entered the history books when she became the 5th woman to give birth while serving in Congress. In Congress Cathy serves as the Co-Chair of the Congressional Women’s Caucus, ranking member on the Water and Power Subcommittee, a member of the Whip’s Team, founder of the Community Pharmacy Caucus, and a member of the Steering Committee. Cathy is also a member of the executive board of the NRCC and chaired the NEPA Task Force as a freshman. Before coming to Congress in 2004, Cathy was the Republican Leader of the Washington State House of Representative and grew up working in her family’s orchard.
