Eric Egland is a counter-terrorism consultant and military intelligence officer who has served around the world, including in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has held a security clearance above the Top Secret level for more than a decade, and has real-world experience in critical issues like terrorism, counter-insurgency and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. He is the author of the nationally-acclaimed book, “The Troops Need You, America.” He also founded TroopsNeedYou.com, a charity that continues the American wartime tradition of mobilizing citizens directly in support of our troops. His efforts, which have helped create needed change within the government bureaucracies, were praised plublicly by General David Petraeus, the top U.S. general in Iraq, and by President Bush, who quoted him during a Rose Garden announcement.
