About Me
Todd Akin grew up in the St. Louis area. He earned his BS in Engineering at WPI in Worchester, Mass. Upon gradation, Todd joined the Army and then worked for IBM in the Boston area, where he met his wife Lulli. He and Lulli eventually moved back to Missouri, where he began working for Laclede Steel.
In 1987, Gov. John Ashcroft appointed him to the Bicentennial Commission of the U.S. Constitution to promote constitutional education and awareness. He continues to write, lecture and teach on the principles of the Founding Fathers.
Todd and Lulli Akin have six children, three of whom are either in the military or in the Naval Academy.
