Duncan D. Hunter is currently serving his country as a United States Marine Captain in Afghanistan. This is his third tour of duty since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Duncan D. Hunter grew up in California, graduated from Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, California, and earned a degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University. After September 11, 2001, Duncan quit his job and joined the Marine Corps, graduating as a 2nd Lieutenant from Officer Candidate School in March of 2002. Lt. Duncan D. Hunter completed his second tour in Fallujah, Iraq in 2004 serving in Battery A, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines attached to Regimental Combat Team 1, 1st Marine Division. Honorably discharged from active duty on September 15, 2005, 1st Lieutenant Hunter was promoted to Captain in 2006.
