About Me

David Dreier stands for individual liberty, economic opportunity, personal responsibility, and limited government. Since being elected in 1980, Dreier has fought to reduce taxes for families, delivered federal resources for southern California’s priorities, and strengthened our commitment to homeland security.

Throughout early public service, Dreier established himself as a tax fighter and advocate of President Reagan’s foreign policy initiatives. In 1999, Dreier took the helm of the powerful House Committee on Rules and joined the Speaker on the House’s Leadership. As Chairman of the House Rules Committee until 2007, and now as the ranking member on the Rules Committee, Dreier is pivotal in fashioning legislation the House of Representatives considers. He is a tireless advocate for California’s globally competitive economy.
