A strong fiscal conservative, John Kline understands how the federal deficit, created by years of over-spending, is a threat to the long-term health of our economy. Some in Washington want to raise taxes, but John knows that the real problem is excessive government spending, not low taxes. In March, John helped pass a new federal budget that will cut the deficit in half in four years, hold the line on spending and protect taxpayers. As a result of his work, 'Americans for Tax Reform' gave Congressman Kline their "Hero of the Taxpayer" award.
