Congressman John Boozman, a successful businessman and life-long resident of Arkansas, represents the Third District of Arkansas in the House of Representatives. Boozman currently serves on the House Veterans Affairs Committee. He is also a member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Policy Committee. Among Boozman’s legislative accomplishments is the passage of provisions he authored to combat the spread of methamphetamine. In January 2007, Boozman was named as an assistant whip for the Republican Whip Team. As an assistant whip, Boozman will be responsible for helping House Republican Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri and Chief Deputy Republican Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia work with Republican leaders to manage GOP legislation on the House floor.
