About Me

Mike Rogers was elected to the United States House of Representatives in November 2002 and represents the Third Congressional District of Alabama. Mike, the son of a textile worker and fireman, is a fifth generation resident of East Alabama and graduated from Saks High School and Jacksonville State University where he earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Masters of Public Administration. Mike serves as Ranking Member on the Homeland Security Oversight subcommittee and serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Agriculture Committee. His priorities for the Third District include strengthening the state's vital military facilities, helping the state economy grow and thrive, and advocating for Alabama's agricultural interests.
